How it begins

Every bespoke piece begins with a conversation.
A space that isn’t quite working.
A need for something that does not yet exist.

From there we sketch, measure, test and refine until the piece feels inevitable in its setting.

The process

Each project is developed carefully in response to its setting. Materials are selected for longevity, proportion is refined through testing, and every detail is resolved before making begins.

  • Conversation

Listening carefully. Understanding what the space needs.

  • Design

    Drawing, refining, testing proportion.

  • Making

Careful joinery. Honest materials. Built to endure.

Selected work

Crafted for the restaurant Fitzroy.

A study in proportion, weight, and restraint.

    Solid and veneered ash.
Designed to function equally as a dining table and workspace, with legs inset into the top and rounded edge details wrapping continuously around the corners.

  • Danish weave double bench

A double bench commissioned for the foot of a bed, woven by hand in Danish cord over a solid oak frame.

  • Piano stool

A piano stool exploring lighter proportions and traditional upholstery techniques, with curved stretchers shaped on both face and edge.

Considering a project?

If you have a space that isn’t quite resolved, I’d be glad to hear about it.
